NBC Saves the Day by Killing a Web Series About a Time Traveling Inspector

This is actually one of my +1 comments over on Google+, but I wanted to post it here too:

Sigh... Yes, Executives of NBC. Having an independent web series based on Community's Inspectory Spacetime is an absolutely, horrendously, gross and blatant threat to your profits and Intellectual Property. Good on you for squashing this! You sure showed them! Now pat yourselves on the back and give yourself a nice bonus. (Oh, and I hope the BBC doesn't find out about this, I heard a rumour that Doctor Who was kind of big across the pond.)

Doctor Who Does a Lap on Top Gear

Speaking of Doctor Who (+1'd earlier: Sherlock coming to Who?), yesterday's episode of Top Gear in the UK featured Matt Smith in their Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment.


His first tries around the track should probably be called 'Spectators Run When a Good Man Goes a Lap'.



You can watch the full segment on YouTube to see how he faired compared to other Who alums that have appeared on the show.

The rest of Top Gear was great as always.  They finally showed the challenge they have been talking about for a few weeks about doing other things while driving.  Specifically Jeremy sewing a button onto his shirt while doing a lap, and James doing a lap in a sleeping bag (with the heat on thank Hammond).
